अनेक वर्षापासून बंद अवस्थेत असलेले पंढरपूर नगर परिषदेचे हॉस्पिटल पुन्हा नागरिकांच्या सेवेसाठी सुरू करण्यात आले आहे. या हॉस्पिटलचा शुभारंभ पाडव्याच्या मुहूर्तावर आमदार अभिजीत पाटील यांच्या हस्ते करण्यात आला. याप्रसंगी माजी नगराध्यक्ष सुभाष भोसले, रा.पा कटेकर, किरणराज घाडगे, विक्रम शिरसट,नागेश जाधव यांच्यासह आरोग्य विभागाचे डॉक्टर,कर्मचारी उपस्थित होते.
१०० वर्षांची परंपरा असलेल्या पंढरपूर नगरपालिकेचे हॉस्पिटल अनेक वर्षांपासून बंद अवस्थेत होते. आमदार अभिजीत पाटील यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली नुकत्याच पार पडलेल्या आमसभेत पंढरपूर शहरातील नागरिकांनी नगरपालिकेचे हाॅस्पिटल बंद असल्याच्या तक्रार केल्याने आमदार अभिजीत पाटील यांच्या माध्यमातून त्याचा पाठपुरावा करून नगरपालिकेचे हाॅस्पिटल गुढीपाडव्याच्या मुहूर्तावर सुरू करण्यात आले. सामान्य नागरिकांच्या सेवेसाठी हाॅस्पिटल सुरू झाल्याने पंढरपूर शहर व परिसरात आनंदाचे वातावरण झाले आहे. यातूनच हजारो गरजू रुग्णांना माफक दरात आरोग्यसेवा मिळणार आहे.
