आण्णा भाऊ साठे यांच्या जन्मशताब्दीनिमित्त त्यांच्या जीवन कार्यावरील लेख!
पुणे/संपादकीय | कॉम्रेड अण्णा भाऊ साठे यांच्या जन्मशताब्दीनिमित्त त्यांच्या जीवन कार्य व साहित्याबद्दल सार्वत्रिक मंथन होत आहे. जातवर्गीय व पित्तृसत्ताक व्यवस्थेच्या विरोधात त्यांनी लेखणी-वाणी चालवली. त्या व्यवस्थेवर सर्वांगीण बिनी मारायची राहिलीच आहे. ती जबाबदारी अण्णा भाऊंनी आपल्यावर सोपवली आहे. जात-पितृसत्ताक व्यवस्थेने अण्णा भाऊंना शिक्षणाची दारे बंद केली; पण जीवनाच्या शाळेत संघर्ष करुन त्यानी अक्षरवाडःमयाचे विद्यापीठ उभे केले. अण्णा भाऊ केवळ साहित्यिक नव्हते, तर दलित-शोषितांच्या लढ्यातील अग्रणी पुढारी होते. संयुक्त महाराष्ट्र चळवळीच्या गौरवशाली लढ्याचे स्मरण करीत असताना महाराष्ट्रातील जनतेचे स्फुल्लिंग चेतवणारी”माझी मैना गावावर राहिली,माझ्या जीवाची होतीया काहीली” ही अजरामर छक्कड कोण विसरु शकतो? महाराष्ट्राच्या घडणीतील योगदानाचा विचार करताना मात्र अनेकांना अण्णा भाऊंच्या योगदानाचा विसर पडतो.
कम्युनिस्ट चळवळीतील सहभाग….
जातीदास्यातून अस्पृश्य म्हणून वाट्याला आलेली अवहेलना, परावलंबित्व, अंकितता, अवमान, दारिद्रय यांना कंटाळून साठे कुटूंबियांनी वाटेगाव सोडून महानगरी मुंबईचा रस्ता धरला.अनेक संकटांचा सामना करीत, मोलमजुरीवर उपजीविका भागवत अण्णा भाऊ कापड गिरणीत कामाला लागले.तिथेच कागदाच्या चिठो-यावर घामाचे शब्द जुळवत अण्णा भाऊंनी दलित-कामगार वर्गाच्या देदिप्यमान संघर्षाची यथोगाथा लिहिण्यास सुरुवात केली. कापड गिरणीच्या संपात सहभाग दिल्यानंतर त्यांचा कामगार चळवळीतील सहभाग वाढत गेला.
अण्णा भाऊंना प्रोत्साहन देणारे काॅ. हरी जाधव, काॅ. शंकर पगारे, काॅ. के. एम. साळवी, काॅ. विश्वास गांगुर्डे हे सर्व महाराष्ट्राच्या वेगवेगळ्या भागातून मुंबईच्या दाखल झालेले नेते होते. त्यांचा संबंध डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकरांनी चालविलेल्या अस्पृश्यता-जातीविरोधी चळवळीशी जसा होता तसाच सहभाग कम्युनिस्ट चळवळीतही होता. याच ठिकाणी अण्णा भाऊंच्या उपजत प्रतिभेला वैश्विक मार्क्सवादी तत्वज्ञानाची जोड मिळून त्यांनी पद्यलेखनाला प्रारंभ केला. अण्णा भाऊंनी कामगारगीते, किसानगीते, लावणी, वग, पोवाडे, छक्कड इ. साहित्याची निर्मिती केली. 1944 साली टिटवाळा येथे भरलेल्या शेतकरी परिषदेत ‘लालबावटा कलापथका’ची स्थापना करण्यात आली. अण्णा भाऊ, अमर शेख, गव्हाणकर या शाहीर त्रिकुटांनी कलापथकाच्या माध्यमातून सारा महाराष्ट्र पिंजून काढला व कम्युनिस्ट चळवळीला ग्रामीण जनाधार मिळवून दिला. या काळात कम्युनिस्ट पक्षाशी संबंधित देशपातळीवरील संघटना ‘इप्टा’( इंडियन पिपल्स थिएटर असोसिएशन),’प्रगतीशील लेखक संघ’ यामध्ये आघाडीचे लेखक, कलावंत व बुद्धीजीवी सहभागी होते. अण्णा भाऊंचा या चळवळीशी लवकरच संबंध आला व यांच्या प्रतिभेला फुलण्यास व्यापक अवकाश मिळाला.
