डॉ. शितल शहा यांना पद्मविभूषण देण्यासाठी प्रयत्न करणार – आमदार समाधान आवताडे
पंढरपुरातील सुप्रसिद्ध बालरोग तज्ञ डॉक्टर शितल शहा यांचा सन्मान तपोवनात जैन समाजातील सर्वोच्च साधक म्हणून करण्यात आला. यावेळी आमदार समाधान आवताडे यांनी , डॉक्टर शितल शहा यांना पद्मविभूषण मिळवून देण्यासाठी प्रयत्न करणार असल्याचे घोषित केले.
आढीव येथील तपोवनात डॉक्टर शितल शहा यांनी जैन समाजाचे पश्चिम महाराष्ट्रातील सर्वात मोठे मंदिर बांधले आहे. त्यांनी आपली हयात या कामासाठी वापरली आहे. त्यांच्याच प्रेरणेतून तपोवनात पंचकल्याण प्रतिष्ठा महोत्सव साजरा होत आहे.
यानिमित्ताने या ठिकाणी सुमारे ४० जैन मुनि या कार्यक्रमासाठी हजर झाले आहेत. सोमवारी कार्यक्रमाच्या तिसऱ्या दिवशी
पंढरपूर मंगळवेढ्याचे आमदार समाधान आवताडे , आमदार अभिजीत पाटील आणि कल्याणराव काळे हे उपस्थित झाले. यावेळी पंढरीतील जैन बांधवांच्या वतीने डॉक्टर शितल शहा यांचा जैन समाजातील सर्वोच्च साधक म्हणून सन्मान करण्यात आला.
यावेळी बोलताना आमदार अवताडे यांनी डॉक्टर शितल शहा यांच्या जीवनावर प्रकाश टाकला. त्यांचे समाजाप्रती कार्य मोठे असून त्यांना पद्मविभूषण पुरस्कार द्यावा अशी मागणी आपण सभागृहात करणार आहोत , असे सांगून त्यांच्या कार्यास शुभेच्छा दिल्या
